As the founder of Phronêsis Consulting, Dr. Fillippeli is dedicated to helping clients improve their ability to communicate with target audiences. Dr. Fillippeli holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, an M.A. from the University of Georgia, and a B.A. from Appalachian State University. She has held faculty positions at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, The University of Puget Sound, and most recently, Auburn University. In 2001, Dr. Fillippeli left Auburn University to found Phronêsis Consulting, but returned to Auburn as an adjunct instructor in 2003 teaching a senior level course in Political Communication. In 2003 Dr. Fillippeli was appointed by Governor Bob Riley to serve on the Alabama Women’s Commission. She was elected chairman of the Alabama Third Congressional District Republican Executive Committee in February of 2004 and re-elected in 2005 and 2007. Dr. Fillippeli serves on the Lee County Republican Executive Committee, the Alabama State Executive Committee as well as the Alabama Republican Party Steering Committee.
